Michael Owen admits his injury-time winner at Old Trafford against Manchester City will go down as one of his career highlights.
Owen struck in the sixth minute of added time on Sunday to settle one of the most dramatic Manchester derbies.
United triumphed 4-3 in the Barclays Premier League match after a quite extraordinary contest which they led on three occasions, only for defensive blunders by Ben Foster and Rio Ferdinand to leave them relying on Owen's second goal for his new club.
"It is probably one of the moments I will reflect on as a highlight of my career," said England's fourth highest goalscorer.
"To score a goal as dramatic as that in a derby was amazing.
"You had to see it to believe it. It must have been one of the best televised games of all time."

'rimmington548'. What a typical, brain-dead, City-supporting moron you are. I could get into a discussion about your 3rd-rate team, and its whinging, excuse-seeking manager, but it would be wasted on someone of your patently, limited intelligence!
You were sleeping on the job Rafa! owen was a steal and liverpool should have stolen
him back, what a combo him and El ninio should have been, especially when the team is finding it hard hard to score in a tight match, yeah yeah i'm a very unhappy fan, and while i'm on Rafa, get back to man marking at set pieces, ditch your daft zonal dogma,
before we leak any more rubbish goals

Owen = Legend
10. You what? 2nd half there was only one team on the pitch for a long time, City a team to challenge united or chelsea my @#$% :P
What a fantastic local Derby...plenty of goals with loads of goal mouth action and two sets of fans who actually come from the same city. Well done the Blades for hanging on and unlucky the Owls, but what a comeback. Brilliant viewing./
You munich idiots can get down from your perch. After watching the derby yesterday, you were weak...The only team we (City) have to worry about is Chelsea, everyone else is no contest...good to see you had to rely on Wiley again for your win and not Owen
Ryan giggs what a footballer.
Simple manSHITSter United should be investigated for match fixing, the bookies should be investigated too.
Sir Alex said in an interview yesterday Owen has been lookin really sharp in training and is going to give him more playing time, so i think he will start the game in midweek, if not, i would think he'd get at least 20-30mins.
I found the Derby absorbing and ehiliarating. Two sides battling for dominance, great goals, silly mistakes, a few booking but no sendings off, no stupid incitement of the crowd and classic ending worthy of Roy of the Rovers. We witnessed the best Derby for years and only one silly incident involving Craig Bellamy marred the occassion. The post match analysis revealed that the ref allowed exactly one second more than was required for added time. What turned things sour for me was reading the abuse and disrespect from some city fans after the match. Surely they are the worst losers in the game. Small minded, petty, libellous, disrespectful of their own history as well as that of their opponents they may have lots of money bu they have not got any CLASS, something that money can't buy. Their contemptible manager needs to learn some humility and show some respect for the officials, who actually got it right and his opponents. One thing yesterday taught me was never to get into internet arguments with city fans, they simply are not worthy of the respect which engaging in dialogue affords them. Some of the filth they put onto the message boards yesterday was beneath contempt and its no use older wiser city fans saying its a minority who disrespect the legacy of Munich, which is in part shared by them. city and its supporters clubs have had years to wipe this stain from their history and have done nothing about it./ So lets get back to normal, a great game but now we have to focus on winning our foruth title in a row and forget the noisy neighbours from hell.
When it really matters; cream will rise to the top and produce the finished article....Nothing more to be said; the proof as they say is for all to see.............Owen is far from finished; to produce such a clinical finish in the extreme heat of the cauldron of a Manchester derby when more than points was up for grabs at a time in the game when any second the final whistle would undoubtely shrill out was nothing more than pure brilliance in one of the worlds best ever strikers.....
The FA is a disgrace, English Premier league is fast becoming boring, if manSHITSter United is always going to be favoured then Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, Man City can all call it a day and wait till The Scottish Pig (SIR ALEX FERGUSON) departs manSHITSter. Don't know how a Pig is bestowed with a knighthood anyway
Get over it mun c, his goal was Manchester United's icing on the cake.
UTD BATTERED CITY THE SECOUND HALF, IF IT WASNT FOR GIVEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DOUBLE FIGURES FACT
bal..bla..bla...Owen can u stop running your mouth? U still can't play at WC!!
