Jay Simpson is relishing his striking role with QPR and insists he will continue to bang in the goals if he continues to play in his preferred position.
The 20-year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Arsenal, started up front against Cardiff on Saturday and scored twice in a 2-0 victory - his first goals in QPR colours.
"I want to be playing up front. That's my best position. You won't see the best of me if I'm stuck out wide or playing deep," he told the club's official website.
"I've always felt I'll score goals if I play in my favourite position and the gaffer is doing that so I'm really happy.
"It's great to get off the mark for my new club and to win the match in such a convincing manner is just as pleasing."
