Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate will not panic in the wake of Saturday's horror show against West Brom.
Boro went into the game knowing they might end the day at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship with a win, but 90 minutes later found themselves on the wrong end of a 5-0 drubbing.
Southgate told the Evening Gazette: "We have been battered for that result, and rightly so, but our task now is to make sure there is no possibility of a repeat.
"If it's a wake-up call, then it's come at the right time, when we have still got 38 games left to play. We have to put right what went wrong and we have to make sure that everybody sticks firmly together.
"It's a time for keeping our feet on the ground, remembering what we have achieved so far this season and going to Coventry on Saturday to play in the manner we know we can."

Great defender gareth but sadly the same does not apply to your managerial skills (IF ANY)IF YOU LOVE THE CLUB AS MUCH AS YOU SAY YOU DO RESIGN NOW or maybe your waiting for the £5 million settlement you will get when the club decide its time for you to go.We dont want to do a leeds and tumble down the divisions so go now.

The lessons learned last season made no difference, why should things change. About Saturday, best forgotten, don't dwell. Boro have a very good team, they have showed as much this season. The loss was a figment of the managers poor imagination. As someone said the WBA manager is so inexperienced compared with Southgate who it seems is still learning? It makes me very sad and I know I am not the only one.
He picked the team that played at Sheffield Wednesday, were you saying stupid things then !!!
southgate picks the team on the day, some one should stop him .
