Yoga behind red-hot form

Preston striker Chris Brown has revealed yoga has helped him to overcome a long-term back injury which disrupted his career last season.

The former Sunderland and Norwich forward has hit peak form and fitness this term and his match-winning double in Saturday's 3-2 win against Coventry took his season tally to six.

Brown said: "I'm not very flexible but I started yoga during the summer and came back for pre-season training feeling really good.

"I tried a lot of things before but never really got to the bottom of my injury.

"Now I do stretching and leg strengthening and I'm much better for it. We've got a teacher who comes to the club twice a week and we do yoga as a warm-up before training on a Monday and Friday."
