Liverpool remain top of the European Power Rankings ahead of their trip to Atletico Madrid, while Chelsea are closing in on the leaders.
We take into account both domestic and Champions League performances, plus the relative difficulty of each team's league, to find out who is the best team in Europe.
Another late comeback in the Premier League saw Rafael Benitez's side pick up another unlikely win in the only round of domestic action since the international break.
Chelsea might have blotted their European copy book with a draw at Cluj, but remain immaculate at home and rise two places to fourth, behind Spanish rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Arsenal and Manchester United stay in mid-table, but the form book suggests they will win their respective matches against Fenerbahce and Celtic, neither of whom has cracked the top 20.
Jose Mourinho's Inter are sixth after an emphatic domestic win against Roma, who slip to 20th, while Juventus' continued poor form sees them slide three places to 14th.

HOW IT WORKS
Scores are based on points per game in domestic league and Champions League games.
Domestic points per game is multiplied by the league coefficient - either 4, 4.5 or 5 - with teams in stronger leagues getting more credit.
League coefficients:
5 - England, Italy, Spain (12 teams)
4.5 - Germany, France, Portugal, Russia, Netherlands (10 teams)
4 - Belarus, Cyprus, Denmark, Romania, Scotland, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine (10 teams)
Champions League victories are counted as three points for a win. They are all multiplied by a coefficient of 5.
Example: Liverpool
20 points from eight Premier League games = 2.50 points per game.
Multiplied by league coefficient of five - 2.5 x 5 = 12.5
Six points from two Champions League game = 3 points per game.
Multiplied by European coefficient of five - 15.00
Total score = 15.00 + 12.50 = 27.50

Yay the list still speaks for itself. Come on LFC!!
How are United not in da top 20 dey won it last season lolz Dynamo Kiev are above us :(
How are United not in da top 2 :S dey won it last season lolz Dynamo Kiev are above us :( :( :(
They keep on asking themselves why they are not at the top, why they are not included, why they are in the middle of the table. And the most that make them sick is to see LFC always top. Come on LFC, help them before they are helpless.
Im a liverpool fan & im well happy with the way we are playing at the moment. Only worry for me is Chelsea on sunday, we've conceded 4 goals in 2 games to lesser clubs, we need to tighten up against Chelsea or they will put 4 past us in 1 game. No Torres either, can we still beat them, YES! If we paly to our best, but away from home i'd be quite happy with a draw.
I would like to propose to LFC to open new academy with "Rule Europe" course. There are so many underachieved clubs still dreaming about it. Teach them how to go about it... to Rule Europe.
CFR Cluj FTFW :D
Just one small thing. I can's see the Toffees in this league. I wonder why. Can someone tell me?. Ha Ha. LFC forever.
I know people are allowed their own opinions, but come on guys, lighten up here. I agree Liverpool are , and righly so, on top of this Leageu, but Hull are 3rd in the premiership....so, as you can see, its a bit early to take brigging rights, and i am a Liverpool supporter, and i only hope this was the table at the end of the season....fingers crossed though
You need luck to win the Premier League
up the blues as they progress to the top. i love to be associated with the winning team.....adedayo
Liverfool again Lucky used to have luck in Europe now they have in PL
Liverfool again Lucky
al hamman, it's current performace not what you've done in previous seasons, and if we take into account relative difficulties, liverpool have had 4 players sent off against them already this season so thats got to make things easier for them....
LIVERPOOL THE COME BACK KINGS!!!!
How the f*ck some of you manage to logg on escapes me,you seem to have a hard tine grasping logic!?!?!?!.to the massive @#$% who states that man u are champs so why are they not top, because they were champs last season, you hear you simpleton"LAST SEASON",and where are united in the league now, thats right, mid table, and this table is based on current form both in Europe and at home.
So i hope that clears it up for you, manchester united are below chelsea and liverpool because you are behind us in the league and on current form are no where as good as us.dozy f*cks
you,ll never @#$% alone the manu. l,m together with you
