Fulham skipper Danny Murphy has a knee injury and will miss the Europa League clash against Roma at Craven Cottage.

Kagisho Dikgacoi is not eligible, while Toni Kallio, Simon Davies, Dickson Etuhu and Andrew Johnson will miss out.

Fulham are lucky to have their manager Roy Hodgson in the dugout though as he revealed that he turned down job offers from both Norway and Sweden.

Roma will be without talismanic captain Francesco Totti, who missed the 2-1 defeat at Milan last weekend but will not require further surgery to the right knee that was operated on in 2008.

"There is no need for surgery," Totti's surgeon professor Pier Paolo Mariani told the Forza Roma website.

"The boy is fine and the swelling could be connected to excessive work. That's why he will try to recover via physiotherapeutic means.

"I am confident and I can rule out any operations. He just needs to be checked up on from time to time and that's what we will keep doing this week."

French forward Jeremy Menez scored in his absence and should start alongside either Mirko Vucinic or Julio Baptista.

Brazil centre-half Juan is also out with a thigh injury so Argentine defender Nicolas Burdisso will continue to deputise.
