Garmin extends sponsorship deal

Satellite navigation firm Garmin has extended its sponsorship of Team Garmin-Slipstream until 2013.

The US-based team includes British star Bradley Wiggins (pictured), former Tour de France stage winner David Millar and American Christian Vande Velde, who finished fourth overall in the 2008 Tour de France.

Garmin's sponsorship of the team had originally been due to expire at the end of 2010, with the move now securing the team's future for a further three years.
