La Liga - No new Barca approach for Robinho

Eurosport - Wed, 21 Oct 17:23:00 2009

Barcelona have not approached Manchester City about forward Robinho since the summer, according to sporting director Txiki Begiristain.

Hughes denied recent talk of a possible deal between the two teams for the Brazil star, saying he was "not in the process of taking outstanding players out of the team".

Begiristain told El Mundo Deportivo: "Robinho is an interesting player who we asked about in the summer. But City would not talk about a transfer and since then we have not made any move."

Robinho joined City in summer 2008 for £32.5million from Barca's arch rivals Real Madrid.

  4. barca ain't strong any more
they are trying to fix mistake with other mistake
if i was pep,,, i would keep eto'o and use the 45 million to bye diego and filipe
instead of wasting 45 + eto for the lazy arrogant ibra
now they will make another mistake by exchanging henry for robinho
don't tell me henry will stay,,,,,coz man city told barca officials "henry for robinho" and there is a deal between the 2 clubs
i can see valencia and sevilla doin well in recint days
so liga will be intersting to watch
i hope real will me safe from injuries to be the best

  5. he's not replacement for henry just backup - at least until end of season. long term wise i think Juan Mata is the most suitable. he's yet to sign a renew contract right?
