The New York Jets' defensive tackle Kris Jenkins has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a knee injury and replaced on the roster by Howard Green.

Jenkins tore a ligament in his left knee in Sunday's loss to Buffalo, the third successive defeat for the Jets after starting the season with three wins.

Green had been released by New York on Saturday before being re-signed on Tuesday.
