Germany will take on Ivory Coast in a friendly match in November as part of their preparations for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Germany, who like the Ivorians have qualified for next year's tournament, were scheduled to play Egypt.
However they had to replace them for the November 18 match in Gelsenkirchen because of their World Cup qualifier against Algeria days earlier.
"This will be a tough test, with Ivory Coast combining everything that African football has to offer: skills, power, creativity and passion as well as discipline and tactics," said Germany coach Joachim Loew.
Germany will play Chile four days earlier in Cologne.
