Hartlepool defender Ben Clark will not be involved in Wednesday night`s reserve-team clash with Huddersfield.
Clark returned to full training last week after struggling with hernia and groin problems and had been pencilled in for the second-string game.
However, physio James Haycock is keen for the 26-year-old centre-back to complete a week of training before taking part in a competitive match.
Pools` director of sport Chris Turner said: "He did two days training last week and he's done another two days this week.
"But he won't be playing tonight (Wednesday) because James wants him to do a full week. Then he should play the full 90 minutes for the reserves next week."
