League Two - Bournemouth rob Grimsby at death

Eurosport - Fri, 21 Nov 22:30:00 2008

League Two basement side Grimsby Town suffered further heartache when they surrendered a two-goal home lead to draw 3-3 with fellow strugglers Bournemouth at Blundell Park.

FOOTBALL 2006/2007 Championship Luton Town Mike Newell - 0

Jamie Clarke and on-loan duo Adam Proudlock and Robert Atkinson all struck to cancel out Lee Bradbury's early opener, before late strikes from Cherries captain Darren Anderton and a second from Bradbury gave the visitors a share of the points.

Bournemouth manged to complete their comeback despite Igoe Guyett being sent off during stoppage time for a second bookable offence.

Mike Newell's (pictured) Mariners remain rock-bottom of the Football Leagu on 10 point, three points behind Barnet and Chester City, who both have a game in hand.

  1. it was the same for the teams deducted points last season too. It's a generic failing.

  2. Eurosport obviously don't realise it yet, but their league 2 table is erroneous!! Luton and Bournemouth are both below Grimsby Town in the league, due to the sanctions imposed by the FA on clubs going in to administration.
