Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters could stick with an unchanged line-up for the trip to face Accrington on Saturday afternoon. The Shrews cruised to a 4-0 victory over Dagenham in League Two last weekend and with no new suspension or injury worries Peters is likely to resist the temptation to tinker with his side.
The game comes too soon for hamstring victim Andy Cooke, although the striker moved a step closer to a return to the first team by turning out for the reserves on Wednesday.
Marc Pugh made his return to action from a hip problem last weekend, coming on as a 74th-minute substitute against the Daggers, but is again likely to have to settle for a place on the bench.
Jimmy Ryan will have to wait until his permanent deal goes through on January 1 before he can return to action, due to the 19-year-old having already exceeded the 93-day restriction on short-term loans.
