Bath Duo Pen New Deals

Fri 21 Dec, 12:15 AM

Ryan Davis and Jonny Faamatuainu have signed new deals with Guinness Premiership title hopefuls Bath.

Davis, whose two-year deal has extended his career at The Rec until the end of the 2009/10 season, did not find it a difficult decision, having supported the club since he was a child.

"I have followed the club since I was five or six years old," he said. "Bath is a club that I have wanted to play for all my life. I have started my career here and I would love to end it here."

He also is hoping to gain some tips from World Cup winner Butch James.

"It is one step at a time for me, but hopefully I can get a run of games next season and learn a few things off Butch so that I can become more of a well-rounded player."

Faamatuainu, who has become a firm favourite among the fans, has signed for three years.

"I am staying here for another three years because I really enjoy playing with the team, I love this city and the fans are great. I am also really positive that Bath Rugby are going to do great things this season."
