West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has handed Livingston forward Graeme Dorrans a week-long trial as he seeks to fill the gap left by Ishmael Miller.Scotland Under-21 international Dorrans, who has scored 10 goals in 21 appearances for the Scottish First Division side this season, was recommended to Mowbray by his former assistant at Hibernian and current Livingston manager Mark Proctor.
"Graeme is training with us for a few days. I haven't seen him but Mark Venus has once or twice and his name is always top of the goalscoring charts," Mowbray told the club's official website.
"He has been playing wide on the right for Livingston but having spoken to their manager he believes he could develop into a centre -forward.
"Their manager has worked with Chris Brunt and James Morrison when they were youth team players and he feels the lad has similar potential and is someone we should be looking at.
"There is no harm in having a look to see the potential that is there. I go in with an open mind as he is not somebody I have seen. I would suggest that if he does well we will monitor him on a weekly basis and see how he develops."
