Darlington manager Dave Penney has thanked chairman George Houghton for his continued support and pledged to focus on securing promotion.Penney agreed a new two-year deal with the Quakers on Monday to keep him under contract until June 2010 and has set his sights on steering the side out of English football's fourth tier with the help of Houghton.
"Every time I've asked for something he has backed us, he's given us a decent budget and we spent £100,000 on Pawel Abbott in the summer," said Penney.
"He wants to be a success. He's successful in his business and he wants to be successful on the football pitch so we're trying to fulfil that dream."
