Boss Lee Richardson has called for Chesterfield fans to repeat the support they gave against Hereford during the club's remaining home games. The Blues boss insists that the incessant singing and chanting 'inspired' his side to their biggest home win of the campaign.
Chesterfield emphatically ended Hereford's 10-match unbeaten away run with a comprehensive 4-0 win at Saltergate thanks to an early goal from Jamie Lowry, a late strike by Brendan Moloney and a Jack Lester double in between.
Richardson said: "A real feature of the night for me was the singing and chanting on the kop. Maybe that was for the benefit of the Sky cameras but it really inspired the players right from the off.
"I just hope the fans remember what happened as a result and that the chanting continues for the remaining home games and hopefully we will get a similar performance."
