Colchester will have to fight it out with Coventry to land Walsall defender Daniel Fox after the Sky Blues also had a bid accepted on Tuesday.Colchester had an offer for Fox accepted last week but they now face competition from Championship rivals Coventry.
A statement on Walsall's official website read: "The club has accepted a bid from Coventry for Daniel Fox.
"The left-back has been given permission to speak to the Championship club."
Coventry's bid is the latest twist in the transfer saga which began when Leeds opened the bidding for Fox prior to the January transfer window opening.
