Ajax keeper Maarten Stekelenburg insists he will remain at the Amsterdam ArenA for the rest of the season despite reported interest from Spurs. The 25-year-old has been touted in the media with a move to White Hart Lane, but neither Stekelenburg nor Ajax have heard anything from any interested parties.
"I will continue to be the goalkeeper at Ajax," Stekelenburg told Sportweek magazine.
"I have read the reports and rumours, but I was never approached personally by any club."
Ajax sit second in the Eredivisie standings, three points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven, and Stekelenburg is confident the current squad is good enough to haul back the champions.
He added: "The squad that we have must be enough. We must do with what we have. I think that we can close the gap on PSV."
