Carlisle boss John Ward has played down the significance of his side's contrasting home and away form this season. The Blues may have picked up 10 wins from a possible 12 home games in League One, but it is a different story on the road as Ward's men have secured maximum points just three times in the league.
Ward, though, is quick to point out that, with his side currently in second spot, there is more than enough cause for optimism at Brunton Park.
"If our away form was a lot better we would be flying away with the league but we are in the top two in the division so it can't be as bad as everyone points out," said Ward. "It needs to be better and we'd like it to be better.
"We are wedged in there and have a couple of games in hand on a couple of clubs around us and hopefully we can pick up extra points in those games. I always talk about the top six and never the top two and it would be fantastic if we can make the top six. That's something we are working hard to do."
