A first-half penalty from Ross McCormack secured Motherwell a 1-0 win over Hearts in their Scottish Cup fourth round replay.

McCormack sent keeper Steve Banks the wrong way from the spot on 22 minutes to earn Mark McGhee's men a fifth round tie at home to Dundee.

Aberdeen eased into the fifth round with a 3-1 win over Falkirk in their replay and are now at home to either Brechin City or Hamilton.

Jamie Smith grabbed a double, firing the opener after 15 minutes before Dutch striker Jeffrey De Visscher tucked home the second after Falkirk keeper Tim Krul parried a close range effort two minutes from the interval.

Smith made it 3-0 with a back post close-range shot 10 minutes after the break before Falkirk pulled a goal back through Graham Barrett who followed up his penalty kick miss to net the rebound on the hour.

Falkirk's Dutch keeper Krul then pulled off a fine save from Scott Severin's penalty, but suffered a shoulder injury in the process and had to be carried off on a stretcher and was replaced by Czech Robert Olejnik.

A second-half brace from Liam Buchanan saw Partick Thistle defeat Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 in the all-First Division tie.
