New selection dilemma for Butcher

Inverness manager Terry Butcher conceded he is facing up to yet more selection dilemmas but this time it has nothing to do with a lengthy injury list.

The Caley Thistle boss made seven changes from the side that had overcome Dunfermline 3-1 in a midweek Scottish Cup fourth round replay for Saturday's visit of on-form Hearts in the SPL.

But despite the many alterations Inverness won 1-0, Shane Sutherland's goal in the 49th minute making it six games unbeaten for Inverness, who have yet to lose in 2012.

Butcher has faced significant injury troubles this season but against Hearts he was able to rest the likes of Ross Tokely, Graeme Shinnie and Billy McKay, who have all featured prominently of late, while players such as Sutherland, David Proctor and Josh Meekings were all given opportunities to start.

He said: "I can't fault the players for the performance they put in against Hearts.

"They have now given me a massive selection problem for the next game against St Mirren, but I would rather have that then a list of casualties."
