Inverness player-manager Craig Brewster is taking a positive approach into his side's next two fixtures in the Scottish Premier League.Brewster's troops face the formidable task of trying to beat Hibernian and Celtic on their own patches.
Caley Thistle are in the midst of a tough run of games and having been defeated 3-1 at Motherwell on Wednesday night, their travels continue with a visit to Easter Road this weekend.
Next on the agenda for the Highlanders in the SPL will then be a midweek trip to play Celtic, who will no doubt still be smarting from their stunning collapse at the Caledonian Stadium in December where Inverness came back from two goals down to win 3-2.
Brewster is remaining optimistic ahead of these difficult games though, insisting he will organise his team in a manner which he believes can result in success.
He said: "We go into every match trying to win and you set out your game plan to try and achieve that.
"If you get a point away from home then that is fine, but you still try and win it."
Brewster knows he will also need his players to be at the top of their game if they are to have a chance of winning against Hibs or Celtic.
The Inverness boss is adamant his team were under-par against Motherwell and thinks that was a large contributing factor behind a disappointing defeat.
He said: "We didn't have everyone playing to the best of their ability and you need that."
However, Brewster stressed his side have already shown they can consistently play well, thanks to a December to remember which featured five impressive victories.
Dundee United, Hibs, Celtic, Hearts and Kilmarnock were all beaten by an in-form Inverness team, whose only loss came against Falkirk.
In stark contrast to that fruitful period, Caley Thistle's only win in seven games since the turn of the year has come against bottom club Gretna.
Therefore, Brewster has called on his players to look backwards in order to go forwards, by taking belief from some magnificent performances not so long ago.
He said: "We had a great run in December which we have to take confidence from and we need to try and get back to how we were playing then."
Inverness opted to take a more direct approach to the game with Motherwell due to the poor condition of the Fir Park pitch.
That tactic saw Brewster make changes to the team that drew 1-1 with Dundee United last Saturday and the Caley Thistle boss could once again tinker with his team this weekend.
He said: "We made some changes because of the pitch at Motherwell, so we will just have to wait and see what happens for the Hibs game."
