Striker Francis Jeffers will travel to Lilleshall on Monday in a continued effort to complete his rehabilitation from injury.Liverpool born Jeffers has had an injury-prone season since signing from Blackburn in the summer of 2007.
The 27-year-old was stretchered off with knee ligament damage during the Owls 4-2 win against Stoke in October.
Wednesday boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield: "He will be sent to Lilleshall for a full week to try and push on and try and get him on the football pitches.
"Hopefully when he comes back then we should have a better idea of when he's going to be available for us."
