Burnley manager Owen Coyle admits in-form striker Andrew Cole is almost certain to miss Saturday's trip to promotion rivals Plymouth. The 36-year-old, who has scored four goals in two starts since joining on loan from Sunderland, is nursing an Achilles injury.
Coyle said: "Andrew let me know before he came to the club that his Achilles had been niggling, so we tried to make sure he got the treatment required during the break.
"We would rather have Andrew for a very important sequence of games coming up and so if that means missing one, then so be it."
However, Robbie Blake, Ade Akinbiyi and Kyle Lafferty are all fit and available while defender Clarke Carlisle comes into contention after shaking off a hamstring injury.
Defender Michael Duff, midfielder Alan Mahon and forwards Besart Berisha and Steve Jones remain sidelined.
