Scott Brown believes he is playing in the best Celtic side since he joined the club in 2007 - but will not admit that a potential 23-point lead over Rangers would guarantee them the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title.
Neil Lennon's men have won 18 domestic games in succession and victory over Dunfermline at home and a win over Motherwell on Saturday would give Celtic that massive advantage over the champions before the administration-hit Ibrox club travel to Inverness on Sunday.
The Hoops skipper, who signed from Hibernian for £4.4million five years ago, said: "I think it is the best we've played and it's the best bunch of lads as well. I've said that since the start of the season.
"We have been getting better and better and getting more confident each and every game. But the title is definitely not won until somebody gets the trophy. I think it would mean a lot to the lads [to be 23 clear] but it is definitely not over.
"It would take a lot [to lose it] but it has happened before, we have been 10, 12 points clear and we have had it clawed back.
"So there is still a lot to play for. We are on a good run and we want to keep it going and have a big game against Dunfermline."
