Home comforts please Robinson

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson hailed stadiummk as a fortress after his side secured their second home win in four days with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Bury.

David Amoo's cool finish had put the Shakers ahead early on but a Dean Bowditch brace won it for the Dons after Giles Coke had seen red for two bookable offences.

"It's just pleasing to get over the line and six points in two home games at home proves this place is still a fortress and we go from strength to strength now," Robinson said.

"I don't know what they are moaning about with the sending off - the first challenge could have broken Stephen's (Gleeson) leg and now he's struggling for two weeks.

"It should have been a sending off, he got away with it with a yellow card and then he pulls a player back, which in the laws of the game is another booking.'"

Bury boss Richie Barker hailed his 10 men for their spirited second-half display and felt they deserved reward.

"I thought the second half they equipped themselves really well, considering they were down to 10 men,'' he said.

"But it's difficult enough to come to a place like this as it is without going down to 10 men after half an hour and then giving silly penalties away.

"It didn't help losing Giles, it was going to be hard enough as it was. I think pulling a shirt 95 yards away from goal, when he wasn't really stopping an opportunity through on goal, I can't remember when that became a yellow card.

"I asked them to stay in the game and they stayed in the game and nearly got something at the end.'"
