Paul Benson marked his first appearance since December 26 with a goal as Dagenham secured a vital 1-1 draw at home to Shrewsbury on Saturday.Benson had only been on the pitch for seven minutes when he swivelled in the box to clinically fire into the top corner after Ben Strevens' assist.
Shrewsbury had looked like ending their 10-game unbeaten run when Andrew Cooke lashed home from close range in the 34th minute despite the best efforts of home goalkeeper Tony Roberts.
But Daggers were worthy of a point after forcing the better chances with Glen Southam's low shot being saved by Glyn Garner while the Shrews could have won it when Dave Hibbert headed wide from six yards.
