Ferguson: Title race wide open

Sat 22 Mar, 02:15 PM

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson believes the title race is still wide open following their 1-1 draw against League Two leaders MK Dons.Aaron Wilbraham gave the home side the lead before Posh grabbed an equaliser when Chris Whelpdale headed Dean Keates' cross past Dons keeper Willy Gueret.

But Ferguson said: "There will still be a lot of twists and turns before the end of the season. I'd liked to have won this game but I can't be too unhappy with the point.

"If we had just had a little more belief in ourselves we would have won the game. We didn't start well and keep the ball as I would have liked but after that we started passing and playing as we can and scored a great goal and could have pushed on a little bit more.

"MK Dons have got a great stadium and this is the stage that our players want to play on and I want to manage week in week out.

"But we've got to get out of this league first and that's what we've got to keep concentrating on."
