Boss Jim Gannon hailed his Stockport side for another strong performance after they won 2-0 at home to Cheshire rivals Macclesfield on Friday.Midfielder Jason Taylor scored both goals at Edgeley Park to make it six wins in a row in League Two for the Hatters, and Gannon was understandably delighted with his side's all-round performance.
He said: "Macclesfield created a couple of half-chances in the game, but overall the lads defended solidly and strongly once again. John Ruddy hardly had a save to make.
"Jason Taylor and his fellow midfielders Dominic Blizzard and Gary Dicker were all superb again. In fact all the lads were on form.
"There were a lot of top performances right across the pitch."
