Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Tommy Lee on a month-long emergency loan deal from League Two rivals Macclesfield Town.The former Manchester United trainee will provide much-needed back-up to James Spencer, with reserve keeper Sam Russell injured and Lloyd Rigby on loan at Vauxhall Motors.

Lee, 22, has joined in time to feature in the Dale squad that travels to Notts County on Saturday.

Lee has made 20 appearances for the Silkmen this season, but has only played once since November after Jonny Brain returned to full fitness.

He appeared between the sticks when Macclesfield visited Spotland in September.
