Bas Savage's second goal in three games helped lowly Millwall to a crucial 1-1 draw at Oldham as they strive to avoid the dreaded drop.Savage bundled his way into the box and fired home after 76 minutes.
But Oldham's response was immediate. Chris Taylor floated over a teasing cross and striker Leon Constantine, on loan from Leeds, headed home from six yards for his first goal for the Latics.
Oldham had began to put on more pressure midway through the second half and full-back Kelvin Lomax lifted a shot over the bar in the 68th minute.
Two minutes later Gary McDonald was also off target with an effort from the edge of the box. The midfielder almost made amends in the last minute but his header was booted off the line by Ali Fuseini.
Oldham's injury curse struck again when Republic of Ireland defender John Thompson, making his first start in six months, had to leave the pitch after just nine minutes.
