NAC Held In Six-Goal Thriller

Sat 22 Mar, 12:29 AM

NAC Breda failed to climb into third in the Eredivisie table as they played out a six-goal thriller against Vitesse Arnhem.

Ernie Brandts' side headed into Friday's fixture aware that victory would see them leapfrog third placed Feyenoord.

However, they squandered a two-goal advantage as home-side Vitesse battled to claim a 3-3 draw at the Gelredome.

Fouad Idabdelhay handed the visitors the lead after just three minutes before Remco Van der Schaaf (16) doubled their advantage.

Domingues Claudemir (35) struck back for Vitesse, but Rogier Molhoek (39) then restored NAC's two-goal lead.

But the home side were not disheartened, and a brace from Santi Kolk (52 and 57) secured a point in a memorable encounter.
