Plumpton's Sunday fixture is subject to the course passing a precautionary inspection at 7.30am.
The track is currently raceable, with the going described as heavy, but any further significant rainfall could put the meeting in doubt.
Clerk of the course Mark Cornford said: "We've had half an inch of rain over the last 48 hours, most of which came through Thursday and Friday.
"We aren't drying too well and we're raceable as it stands, albeit on some very wet and heavy ground.
"I've looked at a number of forecasts but they don't all agree and it's just prudent to hold a precautionary - if we got a quarter of an inch of rain overnight we might struggle.
"The hurdle course in particular can not stand any significant rain and I'd really like it to stay dry now."
