Preston loanee Craig Beattie has revealed his frustration at missing the last six weeks with a hamstring injury suffered on his debut.Beattie, 24, joined Preston on loan from West Brom until the end of the season, but was forced to return to The Hawthorns for treatment after just 37 minutes in a North End shirt.

However, the striker has made a swift return to fitness and now hopes to play a part in the Lilywhites' two remaining games this term.

"It's been very frustrating to say the least," he told the club's official website.

"I was obviously not playing as regularly as I'd have liked at West Brom so I took the opportunity to come here and play some games.

"I just want to get some games, score some goals and fingers crossed that will happen."
