Eugen Bopp's future at Crewe Alexandra looks to be in doubt after the player was given permission to look for a new club.The midfielder-turned-striker has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Gresty Road and has attracted interest from Scotland and Ukraine.

Crewe manager Steve Holland revealed: "We have given Eugen permission to go out on trial to see if there is an opportunity for him.

"A club in Scotland and one in Kiev were keen to have a look at him.

"We will sit down with Eugen in the next few weeks and see where we go from here in terms of his long-term future.

"He has been a superb professional and there are no complaints on that score. He just hasn't played as many games as he would have liked."
