On-loan Watford striker Collins John is set to return to parent club Fulham to receive treatment on a torn thigh muscle.

The 22-year-old Dutchman arrived at Vicarage Road in January, but has made just three starts and two substitute appearances for the Hornets.

John started his career at Dutch club FC Twente before moving to Fulham in January 2004.

After a strong start to his spell at Craven Cottage he began to struggle for form, and spent three months on loan at Championship side Leicester at the beginning of last season.

Fulham - second from bottom in the Premier League and seemingly doomed to relegation - will decide if John requires an operation to alleviate the problem.
