Youngster Harry Arter is determined to put an injury-hit campaign behind him and make his mark on the first team at The Valley next season. The 18-year-old midfielder made his debut against Luton in the Carling Cup back in September, but then had to watch the likes of fellow youngsters Grant Basey, Jonjo Shelvey and Scott Wagstaff get first-team run-outs while he recovered from a ruptured Achilles.
"Hopefully it will be a fresh start for me, and that's the only positive thing I can look at," Arter told the club's official website.
"I'm in the gym every day doing strengthening exercises and will be looking to come back that little bit stronger.
"I'm not going to be knocking on the manager's door when I get back either. I assume there will be some new or more experienced players coming in, so my long-term ambition will be to get in the team maybe towards the end of the season."
