Hartlepool chief executive Russ Green feels the new link-up with Malaysian side FC Sarawak could pave the way for an influx of foreign talent.Pools are hoping to extend their scouting network into Asia and expand the global brand of the club.
"The benefits are there for all to see with the exchange of players being an area to explore on both sides," said Green.
"We'll be looking for talent within the Malaysian Premier League, with the possibility of bringing over players to Hartlepool.
"It is also in our thinking that we will look to play pre-season tournaments over there and possibly have FC Sarawak coming over to Hartlepool to play friendly games."
