Thu 22 May, 01:00 PM

Andy Robinson has reflected on an "unbelievable" five-year spell at Swansea after snubbing the offer of a new deal to join Leeds. The 28-year-old midfielder joined from Tranmere in August 2003 and helped guide the Swans from League Two to the Championship.

Robinson completed his move to Elland Road on Wednesday, but has admitted it was a wrench to leave Roberto Martinez's men.

"I had an unbelievable five years at Swansea," he said.

"I've spent five seasons there and I've never looked back. I can't thank the club enough for what they have done for me and the fans have been brilliant.

"This was the toughest decision of my life, but it's right for me. I spoke to Roberto Martinez on Tuesday and told him of my decision. I didn't want this dragging on because I have the utmost respect for Roberto and for Swansea."
