Evra Shuns Booze For Les Bleus

Thu 22 May, 01:09 PM

Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra admits his Champions League celebrations were muted last night as he turns his attention to France's Euro 2008 preparations.

Evra played the entire 120 minutes of last night's penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea in Moscow and insists Sir Alex Ferguson's side are worthy winners.

"I can't believe it. It's unbelievable," he told Sky Sports News.

"But we deserve to be champions because we play well, we have a great atmosphere in the dressing room."

Evra said about the celebrations after the match: "It was good, I didn't really party a lot because after tomorrow I need to go with the national team. I don't drink alcohol anyway."
