Accrington Stanley are reportedly interested in bringing midfielder Anthony Barry back to the club after he was released by Yeovil.

The 21-year-old made 26 appearances for Stanley in the 2005/06 Conference-winning season before moving to Huish Park in January 2006.

He has now been released after 74 appearances for the Glovers and a source close to Stanley told the Western Gazette: "Accrington have just released 13 players including a midfielder and will be looking for somebody like Barry, so he would fit the bill.

"The club tend to bring back players who have been away for a few years. That is what happened with Ian Craney and quite a few others."
