New Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is determined to build on the club's recent success following his appointment at Bloomfield Road.

The 46-year-old has returned to management a year after his departure from Leicester and is eager to make his mark.

The Seasiders will embark on a third successive season in the Coca-Cola Championship next term.

And Holloway, who has signed a one-year deal with a one-year option, said: "What the club have achieved over the past few seasons is outstanding and I want to keep it going.

"It's a great club to be part of and the history here and the passion of the fans is outstanding. I want to give them something to cheer."
