John Hughes accepts his job could be on the line if Falkirk fail to avoid Clydesdale Bank Premier League relegation in Saturday's showdown at Inverness.
Former Celtic and Hibernian defender Hughes has successfully transformed the Bairns since becoming manager six years ago, leading them from the First Division to within a whisker of a top-six place in the SPL last term.
However, despite having a Homecoming Scottish Cup final look forward to, this season has seen the team struggle.
Hughes said: "If the sack comes along with getting relegated to the First Division then so be it. I've been six years at the club and I always feel my record speaks for itself.
"But I definitely won't quit, I've never quit anything in my life."
