Black Cats could pounce for Luccin

Sun 22 Jun, 10:00 AM

Real Zaragoza midfielder Peter Luccin is interesting a host of clubs across Europe, with Sunderland said to be hot on the Frenchman's trail.Luccin has been told that he is free to leave La Romareda over the summer and his representatives have begun their search for a willing taker.

Luccin is under contract with Zaragoza until 2010, but following the club's relegation to the Segunda Division they are desperate to trim their wage bill.

His former clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille are thought to be leading the hunt for his signature, while Roy Keane's Black Cats are also keeping tabs on the situation.

However, despite his seemingly imminent exit, Zaragoza have made it clear that they will not let Luccin leave on the cheap and are prepared to hold out for the best possible price and he is expected to command a £4million fee.

  2. RK is the person to decide about the transfers and how did he cost us dearly? he kept us in the premier which was his target more that the past years where we been up and down. RK has set his targets every year and so far has hit them so lets keep backing the bloke. btw who is on the cards for this year.

  3. RK will do it Sinatra fashion, his way. has bought some @#$% and some good. depends on who want wet and cold and baha rather than stringfellows

  4. Don't buy him unless he is a good player in a bad team. If his team has been relegated, do we want to pay for someone elses rejects? I would rather the consortium pushed the boat out and bought Peter Crouch than someone costing £4.0 million whom isn't well known in any league.
We need quality ,not quantity, we did that last year and it nearly cost us dearly. Get rid of the expensive flops and hangers on and bring in real quality.
