All the reaction as BMW Team Italy-Spain win both the WTCC races at Brno.
Alessandro ZANARDI
"There is always a lot of action in the WTCC races. Sometimes it works out for people and sometimes it doesn't - today it worked in my favour. The first corner was a mess and I managed to get through it unhurt. After the restart Gabriele (Tarquini) didn't try to block me and after that it was a question of controlling the car. I had the best car out there and am very pleased with this win."
Sergio HERNANDEZ (pictured)
"When I arrived I expected the car to be good here but we couldn't quite get the rhythm and we had some problems with a few corners. However, the team worked hard and together with Zanardi we have scored important points for BMW. It is always hard to overtake Porteiro but I had two SEATs pushing behind me so I had no choice."
Joerg MUELLER
"I had a brilliant car for the whole race. I thought the race was over for me at the start because I couldn't see the lights and was overtaken by some people. When the incident happened I slowed as not to hit people but that meant I ended up 11th. I didn't think I could make it to second place but my competitors were fair when I overtook. It was a fun race."
Yvan MULLER
"Achieving second place was unexpected. I got a good start in race one but was hit by Rydell which took me out of the top five. I did stay in the top eight though and found a good set-up for the second race. BMW were unbeatable here so we couldn't play with them but in the end they played among themselves and went off. I thought I would leave Brno not leading the championship so I'm happy that's not the case."
Gabriele TARQUINI
"My pace wasn't good compared to that of BMW so it was a tough race. I wanted to score as many points as possible so third place is a dream. I avoided the first corner accident which was the key to me achieving second place. Scoring points in Brno with a front wheel traction car is very good for us."
Tiago MONTEIRO
"It was not expected for us to get so many points here. We got them from the mistakes of others but we will take them. I am looking forward my home race in Porto. We will prepare and work as a team, just as we always do, to get maximum points."
Felix PORTEIRO
"Today I have taken 44 points for the Independent championship so I'm happy. I thought I could have finished in the top three at the end because I was quicker than Monteiro but the points are very important to me and I didn't want to take risks."
