Doncaster are bracing themselves for the possible departure of Richie Wellens, but have received no firm bids for the midfielder.
There has been growing speculation the 29-year-old could leave the Keepmoat Stadium this summer and Rovers have already made attempts to bring in a replacement, with Leeds' Neil Kilkenny top of their wanted list.
Director of football Mickey Walker told the club's official website: "There's a lot of paper-talk, but there's nothing concrete there, nothing in writing on (chief executive) Dave Morris' desk, it hasn't been done at this moment."
He added: "There's one bid especially that's in there and Sean's done that with the chairman and we've shown an interest in the boy Kilkenny at Leeds, a good footballer.
"This is a 'just-in-case' scenario because if Richie Wellens goes we need to bring someone in of that ilk or better and if we bring that boy in or somebody like that it will enhance the team.
"I'd like to think it might not be done because we'd like to keep the team. Seeing what Sean (O'Driscoll) has done in two years, they have knitted well together and it would be a travesty if we have to break that up."
