Joseph Yobo is convinced Everton can force their way into the top four with a bit more financial muscle.
Yobo was part of the side defeated by Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month, after which manager David Moyes pleaded for the funds that would allow him to strengthen his squad during the early weeks of the summer.
Moyes is still to make a move, but providing he gets the right backing from chairman Bill Kenwright, Yobo is convinced Everton can smash the barrier that separates the top four from the rest.
"With a better financial backing, we can be in the top four before long," Yobo told Lagos-based TV station Galaxy.
"We have a very bright future ahead. We have finished these past two seasons within the top six and we are still growing as a team. I believe that in the very near future we will break into the top four in England."

No. 10 & 11,
Obviously Everton would be more succesul next year than Man City and Spurs because they went better this year :)
City are going nowhere.
Everton wont make the top 4 unless they stay injury free and make 2 key purchaces a right back hibbert is only good for cover (not quick enough) and we also need saha to stay fit. Carsley still hasnt been replaced in the holding midfield roll. 2 players and injury free there is a chance.
If Everton makes it up there (I rather dout it)*they will take Chelsea's spot
Arsenal looks good and strong, Man U is going down but not that much, and Liverpool is brilliant, but Chelsea is old and way to prideful, PRIDE PRECEDES THE FALL chelsea will fall and loose and this time "it won't be the ref's fault" LOL
GO Gunners down Chelsea
agree with you YIP, yes city and spurs can break the big 4, but everton also not possible to achive that because there never sell player and that will cost consistency. But sorry villa you already losy you inspiration captain.
city might but thats it. aston villa are going backwards, everton will remain decent, spurs are trying to sign players beyond them but man city look now to have a team that actually looks better than arsenal and liverpools providing they sign tevez and a top centre half
Yobo, you and your colleagues will have to prove that Everton can compete with not only the top four, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal but also with the big spenders, Man City next season. I suspect we will have little to spend on new players of any real quality. I just hope your predictions come to fruition.
YNWA yawn yawn yawn yawn why cant people put liverpool or are they that stupid they cant spell it
Everton can be a top-four. Arsenal will be a bottom-16.
Everton are no nearer breaking into the top 4 than this time last year ,
we need to buy and buy well to get closer to the big 4 ,
the gap is still massive between ,villa ,spurs and everton and the very top sides !
that is t he reality
yeh u cn break into the top 4 as long as u take chelsea's place or united's place haha lol x YNWA
Yes, Everton can break into the fourt spot at the cost of Manshitster, bye2 devils,
YNWA
Experience they say is the best Teacher. Tevez should look at Robinho, s stay at Man City to KNOW or find out, if Man City fits him well or will fit him well in future. Why did Kaka, Etoo, C. Ronaldo and David Villa not sign for Man City? Please, Tevez, Go to where you will be known and recognized all over the world, and go to a team that commands good respect for football, and its players and the team remains one an ONLY (CHELSEA)! This is your place of ABODE, Come on Coach Ancelloti, sign TEVEZ without looking back. (ONYEOMA AFRICA 00)
YOBO should stop making mouth about top 4 in England, and ensure that his own national team qualifies for world cup. How can he play well at Everton without ensuring that his National team qualifies for World Cup? It will take another 10years to beat the present top 4 in England, unless the Gunners wants to give it up for you guys. (ONYEOMA AFRICA 00).
Yobo told Lagos-based TV station Galaxy. So thats why i keep getting all the get rich quick scams from there.. it is so Everton can get in the top 4 !!
It all makes sense now !!
But on a serious note, Everton have done very well the last few seasons, but with out real cash , Top 4 is too big a step for them, Man City , Spurs, and Villa, seem to have a bit more cash to spalsh, and City are the ones who can get into the top 4, and knock Arsenal out of it !
