Rookie Scunthorpe defender Jake Picton admits the hard work now begins after he was awarded a professional contract with the League One play-off winners.
Centre-back Picton has impressed for the Iron's youth team in the past two seasons and was one of four youngsters to be offered pro terms.
He told the club's official website: "It is a brilliant feeling to become a pro and I can't wait to get going.
"It was fantastic to be told by the gaffer that the club were going to take me on and I would say it was one of the best days of my life.
"He told me all the things I've got to work on, which are a lot of things, and he just basically welcomed me on board.
"It's only a start though and I've got to keep working hard to get to where I want to be."
