Barnsley youngster Jordan Hibbert has signed his first professional contract.

The midfielder, offered a one-year deal, joined the Tykes' youth-team set-up from Chelsea last summer and impressed while playing for both the academy side and the reserves.

Barnsley manager Simon Davey told the club's official website: "We are delighted Jordan has committed his future to Barnsley football club.

"He is a player with a lot of potential and one we are looking forward to working with next season."
